It's nothing special, though, we're just replacing the 4.2 in our Jeep with another one. Still, I'm excited.

Just make sure your replacement has the right flow direction. If you put in a reverse one, you'll have 4 reverse gears and one forward. Always important to have the right engine chirality.

Nope. It's the old 4.2. We just replaced the original engine with a rebuilt one. I've updated the post with a picture.
